Barbara Jakše is a tech ambassador in the fields of innovation, creativity and art. In 2009 she received prestigious Henkel Award for Photography.

In the field of Creativity, Jakše is CEO of the Artkontakt, best known for digitally focused projects, funded through European incentives for digital transformation of business and society. Today the Artkontakt also provides transformative workshops focused on Exponential Technologies, World Grand Challenges and Sustainability.

In the field of chess, Jakše is an active member of chess development at Slovene Chess Federation. Her son Aleks Jeršič won multiple times National Chess Championship.

Jakše published several well-known books such are Illusion of Words, Pictures from Life, Music of Plečnik’s Architecture. Her work is included in the most prestigous international collections such are Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Bert Hartkamp Collection, Museum of Modern Art Slovenia as well as other international and private collections.

She has been also working in the field of marketing and sales for the main Slovene and international companies, banks, corporations such are Gorenje Group, Asko (Hisense), Roche, Eli Lilly, Keko Varicon (Bourns), Eumetsat, Velenje Coal Mine, Abanka as well as Governmental institutions, Government Communication Office of Slovenia, City Municipality of Ljubljana, City Municipality of  Velenje, etc.
